The Jigabachi AV (English: Ammophila sabulosa, 日文: 似我蜂, 中文: 沙蜂) is my most favourite mechanics in Ghost in the Shell. In the episode 4 of the 2nd season of Standalone Complex - the episode named Natural Ememy. The chopper is operated under the command of Japan Self-Defence Force where it has demonstrated its ability in the high mobility combat area. An A.I. controlled aircraft does its things to kick ass automatically. Very sci-fi, sound cool. Definitely my type.😓

Well, this's not exactly a G.Kit but a conventional ABS plastic model. I've considered once to clone a couple more units to form a swarm logic group just like the scenes in the episode. But later, I've realised that I don't have room to house a couple more 😝 even I can.

I've received a good credit on this model from the different facebook groups and forums around the globe🙇🏼‍♂️. The comments left by the visitors are overwhelmingly supportive. Especially from the foreign groups. I could only imagine that it is due to Scarlett Johansson has played a key role in the movie before. So now, more people are aware of the Ghost in the Shell animation and its relevant materials.

I spent 2 weeks to finish the kit. The plastic material is much softer than expected. So when I was sanding on it. I'd to play an extra attention to avoid over-done. That's why I always prefer a G.Kit rather than the ABS made model because the G.Kit resin material is better for all kind of processings. It is harder and it can't be melted down by the industrial thinner and so on. And it also gives the strength. On the other hand, I've also replaced some plastic parts with the metallic parts that I DIY for it. Such as the fuel pipe and the machine guns. Those can give more textures.

1/72 Jigabachi AV.
An A.I. attack helicopter operated by Japan Self-Defence Force in A.D.2040.

I try to recreate a take-off sense in the episode (check out the screen cap in the last 3).

It's getting real. The natural enemy vs the natural enemy.

I've applied some shadow effect heavily on the model. It is commonly seen on those military models.

Tachikoma is attempting to pull the chopper with its glue-wire (LOL) 😙.

CAUTION after CAUTION. The Caution is just everywhere.

I'm not sure, are these the AGM-114 Hellfire missiles or something else.
At least, the appearance suggesting that they're Hellfire. So be careful 😬.

In order to recreate a carrier-like flight deck (the stripe line).
I searched out some reference photo of the US carriers before I painted it.

The look of chopper is unparalleled. The problem is, it is not a standard size chopper.
It has just 15cm in length even if it has a 1/72 scale.

Take off in action.

Take off in action and very neat.

Assembling the Tachikoma. It just has 3cm in length totally.

I've replaced the refuelling pipe using a metallic material.

The opening of Standalone Complex 2nd GIG - Episode 4 "Natural Ememy".
The chopper was preparing to join a military exercise.

Just fit into a display box that I bought in 1990.

Perfectly done. I can put it in my living room now.
